Proverbs for Decisions: wisdom for making choices

Wisdom for the crossroads: trust the LORD rather than your own understanding, seek good counsel, plan carefully and commit your work to Him. Eleven proverbs and one promise from James for every decision, large or small.

What does the Bible say about making decisions?

Proverbs teaches that good decisions start with trusting God rather than your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5–6), are made better by many counselors (Proverbs 11:14; 15:22), and hold plans loosely because the LORD directs our steps (Proverbs 16:9; 19:21). James adds a promise: anyone who lacks wisdom should ask God, who gives generously to all (James 1:5).
